Before the walls

For years, you kept Northgate Corrections’ prisons running. Locks, wiring, worn-out machinery: there was always something to mend. The work paid the bills, and at the end of the day Lucy was waiting at home. Then an urgent work order arrived one night, and you picked up your tools.

Northgate’s method

Northgate is paid for every inmate it holds. When someone threatens it, the company doesn’t make them disappear. It imprisons them, inside facilities where it controls the records, the calls and the transfers.

Five witnesses

Everyone who could clear your name is behind Northgate’s bars. Reach each one, take what they know, and get out before the walls close behind you.

The clock

Northgate is weeks from a ten-year state corrections contract. Victoria Shaw needs you back in a cell before the vote. You need the full dossier before it.

Gameplay

Every guard sees in amber.
Every camera, in red.

Walls, closed doors and bars block sight. While someone sees you, the eye above them fills. A full eye means you’re caught.

Isometric in-game view: Cole in his cell, two guards in the corridor, sight cones shading the floor

Read every line of sight

A glimpse sends guards to search the spot. Stay in view and the eye fills until you’re caught. Fences don’t hide you.

Ducts, ladders, low cover

Crouch to move quietly behind cover. Climb into the ducts above the walls, where guards and cameras can’t see you.

Takedowns have consequences

Put a guard in a chokehold from behind and drag the body out of sight. Whoever finds it raises the alarm.

Help from the outside

Every witness you free becomes a contact: blackouts, hacked cameras, guards sent elsewhere. Uses are few, and each one leaves a trace.

Walk in disguised

As a maintenance contractor, officers ignore you in public areas, as long as you keep moving and stay where a contractor belongs.

Plan, pause, decide

Tap any guard, door or camera to see your options; the game pauses while you choose. Built for touch and mouse alike.

Lure them away

Pick up empty cans and throw them to draw the nearest officer, or burst an extinguisher and vanish in the foam. Just make sure nobody sees you throw.

Cut the cameras

Trip a breaker panel and its cameras go dark with no alarm, until an officer walks over to reset it. The farther from a patrol, the longer you have.

Go for a clean run

Every chapter hides one optional piece of evidence. After each escape, your stats and records, plus badges for runs that stay unseen, take nobody down, or never raise the alarm.

The campaign

Five prisons. One truth.

Northgate builds every facility to the same maintenance standard. You spent years repairing them. You know where the ducts run.
